arrival in tokyo

Hi all - we've been in Tokyo a month - but are just getting around to posting images on the blog...

so far, everyone is well - Walker and Alice are learning more Japanese each day, and we ride the only remaining streetcar / tram line in Tokyo each day to get them there.  John is going into U. of Tokyo most days, and making progress on interviews and research.  Sara is figuring out how to cook noodles, rice, fish, noodles, vegetable, miso soup ... and noodles - and visiting gardens, etc.

the view out of window on the first morning - snow !  first time for an April snow in Tokyo in 40 plus years.... fortunately, its warmed up -
